Leading UK cycling retailer Sigma Sports has announced the opening of its third multisport store this spring.
Located in Letchworth Garden City, North Hertfordshire, in South East England, the store will be a hub for the sporting community in the area. The 3,000 square foot retail space at 48 Station Road will offer a range of premium brands from across the road and gravel cycling and triathlon categories.
The retailer will be building on the shopping experience it delivers through its flagship store in Hampton Wick, South West London as well as its store in Oakham, Rutland.
The new store, formerly the site of cycling retailer Trisports, covers two floors where a range of bicycles, clothing and accessories will be available for customers to explore.
The retailer notes that, whereas its full product portfolio will be available for customers to click and collect, the new store will be host to a curated selection of some of the best brands in cycling. These include: Trek, Pinarello, Cervelo, Argon 18, Colnago, Specialized, Bianchi, Cannondale, Rapha, Castelli, Oakley, Pas Normal Studios and Universal Colours.
The new Hertfordshire premises will also offer bike repair and workshop servicing, custom bike building and in the near future, a professional Bike Fit Studio.
‘Founded by two best friends 33 years ago, the opening of a new store reflects Sigma Sports’ ambition to expand and deepen direct relationships with local cycling, triathlon and running communities.’
Sigma Sports’ CEO James McEuen said “We are very excited to bring our offering to Letchworth Garden City, a wonderful location with some great riding right on the doorstep.
“This expansion will allow us to engage with sporting communities in Hertfordshire and beyond, bringing the same levels of customer service and expertise that we have become so well known for. We will be looking forward to welcoming everyone to our opening this spring.”
The store opening will also create a number of job opportunities. McEuen continued “Expert staff that deliver outstanding customer service are at the very heart of our business. We are immediately seeking applications from experienced professionals with a passion for cycling and triathlon.”
