In the continuing cost-of-living crisis finding extra ways to earn money has become essential for many. And the rise of the side-hustle is the focus of a combined Visa/LadBible/The Sidemen launch campaign that aims to empower young people on how to turn them into successful businesses.
The campaign sees the digital payments giant Visa and global social publisher LadBible Group create a new content series and a Tik Tok Shop “to inspire the next generation of side hustlers to turn their passions into businesses.
Fronted by two content creators from the popular entrepreneurial YouTuber group The Sidemen, the campaign aims to provide “practical advice and support to aspiring business owners”.
LadBible has also produced an exclusive vodcast-style interview featuring Vik and Tobi from The Sidemen. In the interview, they share their journey from content creators to successful entrepreneurs.
The Sidemen share their journey with Liam White, a finance professional turned side hustler. The interview uncovers the challenges and rewards of turning a side-hustle into a business and they discuss their experiences and what they’ve learnt along the way.
The campaign also aims to highlight how Visa’s secure payments network helps protect small businesses against fraud and facilitates international transactions.
The media partnership follows research conducted by Visa that found 45% of Gen Zs now have a side hustle, with 37% of these having more than one. E-commerce (34%), social media influencers (25%) and passion-based projects (19%) are the top three types of side hustle businesses being run by Gen Zs.
