Multi-category womenswear brands Shrimps and Reformation are collaborating on a festive season collection that launches Tuesday (12 November).
It’s a limited-edition offer of novelty knits that we’re told “captures the cosy revelry of the holiday season through the classic charm of Ref and the endearing playfulness of Shrimps”.
The quirky edge of both labels can be seen in the fact that the collection styles are named after suits of cards with a Diamond Cashmere TurtleNeck, Queenie Cashmere Cardigan, Hearts Cable Crew, and Clover Cashmere Sweater Vest.
The two brands said the pieces are “inspired by seasonal gatherings and playing weird card games with your cousins”. What that comes down to in practice is a selection of sweaters with classic motifs “that pair well with a poker face – or help distract the competition while you stack the deck”.
They added that “because ‘tis the season, the collection also has fun giftable things like crocheted coasters and sweaters for pets so you can match”.
Clearly, it’s “not to be taken too seriously”, but getting serious for a moment, all of the pieces are made with Reformation’s “seriously responsible fabrics” like regenerative wool and 95% recycled cashmere blend.
The collections are available on both Reformation’s and Shrimps’ webstores.
