The role of the London Sales Director is to formulate and execute a sales strategy with a particular focus on growing the gallery’s collector network in Europe, the Middle-East and the Americas.
The Sales Director will build and cultivate their network of collectors and institutions to achieve agreed sales goals.
The Sales Director supports collector activities and local marketing projects relating to exhibitions and fairs.
The London Sales Director is a senior face of Ames Yavuz to clients, curators, institutions and artists in the region and will work to build engagement with the gallery locally
Essential:
2-3 years of sales or equivalent experience within a commercial art gallery, auction house or institution
Proven track record of generating and cultivating leads and executing sales
Fluency in English
Outstanding communication and presentation skills
Proactive problem-solver capable of managing challenging situations
Willingness to travel as required
Strategic thinker with strong attention to detail and excellent interpersonal skills
Bachelors level degree or equivalent
Desired:
Mandarin, Cantonese, Thai and European languages
Relevant experience in other luxury industries
Sales Management:
Achieve monthly/quarterly/annual sales revenue goals to grow the local business in line with agreed targets.
Prepare reporting on progress of prospective opportunities for regional review.
Develop a sales funnel of target clients in advance of each exhibition to achieve sales goals for each exhibition/fair.
Work with standard operating procedures for preparing high quality proposals for clients and following up sales leads.
Ensure appropriate processes are followed for sales confirmation, payments and post-sale management.
Art Fairs:
Support the regional team at art fairs in the region including logistics, installation, and hosting local events as required.
Cultivate collectors in advance of fairs to maximise attendance and engagement.
Local Marketing Activities:
Provide strategic input to the Marketing team to support and build the Ames Yavuz brand globally.
Support fair openings, public programming, private collector events.
