Ryanair has issued a holiday warning to British tourists as they could face “potential disruption” to their flight.

A spokesperson from the budget airline said: “Potential disruptions to and from the UK on Monday, April 15 due to high winds.

“Affected passengers will be notified and any passengers travelling to and from the UK on Monday, April 15 should check their Ryanair app for the latest updates on their flight.

“We regret any inconvenience caused to passengers by these high winds, which are outside of Ryanair’s control and affect all airlines operating to and from the UK on April 15.”

Passengers who are directly affected should be contacted by Ryanair on the phone number or email provided at booking.

The Met Office has put a yellow weather warning in place in the UK due to strong winds in some areas.

It said: “Some delays to road, rail, air and ferry transport are likely” and warned that “some bus and train services affected”.

Some coastal communities could face spray or large waves and there could be delays for high sided vehicles.

Jet2 has warned passengers travelling to Majorca in Spain that they could face some disruption due to maintenance work at the airport.

It said it was working with the airport to minimise disruption for passengers and said staff would be on hand to help.
