The great thing about Spreadex is that offers both normal fixed odds betting plus spread betting on horse racing. There are some key differences, of course, between this form of gambling and placing regular fixed odds bets.
Make the right call and punters could win big, but the potential to lose money can be much higher. Intrigued? Then check out this how to spread bet on horse racing guide:
Andrew heads to Cheltenham and Newbury for his three recommended bets/trades on Friday, October 25th…
CALLIN BATON ROUGE failed to score in 12 starts for Warren Greatrex, often jumping poorly on soft/heavy ground before staying on well at the business end of her races. The six-year-old was claimed by Charles & Adam Pogson for just £6,000 after finishing second by a head in a selling handicap hurdle at Cartmel in May and her career has taken off since. She started life for new connections with a comfortable three-length win in a mares’ handicap hurdle at Uttoxeter and has landed her two subsequent starts, both against male rivals, by a combined margin of 15 lengths. Last month’s Stratford win was particularly taking as she was the only winner on the card to come from off the pace. The 12lb rise is fair enough and her jumping problems seem to be a thing of the past. Buy in the Spreadex 50-30-20-10 market or take a fixed odds price, each-way.
Recommendation: Back CALLIN BATON ROUGE in Cheltenham 1.15
Newbury needs to survive an 8am inspection on the day of racing but if the meeting goes ahead, I want to side with Ed Walker’s MOUTAI in this 1m novice stakes on the round course. The Hello Youmzain colt showed up well on his debut at Newmarket 20 days ago, blowing the start and running green when a 15-2 fifth of 12 in a 7f maiden. His trainer has a fantastic record with his second time out two-year-olds, including a nine from 21 return so far this year for a profit of £50.03 to a £1 level stake at SP. Buy in the Spreadex 50-30-20-10 market or take a fixed odds price.
Recommendation: Back MOUTAI in Newbury 4.36
HERE COMES GEORGIE was stepped up in trip after last December’s 2m1f Carlisle win but he failed to last home over the extended 2m3f on very soft ground at Catterick where he raced in the ‘swamp’ on the inside rail. The switch to fences saw him pulled up at Hexham (2m4f) on his next outing but Patrick Neville’s six-year-old resumed his progression when returned to hurdles at Perth in August, landing a 2m handicap on good ground at odds of 33-1. He followed up over the same course and distance in September to take his record in hurdle races over 2m-2m1f to 5F111 (3-5) and his trainer has had two comfortable winners from his two runners in the past fortnight. Buy in the Spreadex 50-30-20-10 market or take a fixed odds price.
Recommendation: Back HERE COMES GEORGIE in Cheltenham 4.45
