Outdoor apparel brand Pyrenex, based in Saint-Sever, France, has recently appointed Alan Daniel as its new commercial director. Daniel is an experienced executive with a career in the sports apparel and equipment sector, having previously worked at Rossignol, Rip Curl and Salomon.
Daniel graduated from the Audencia business school in Nantes, France, and then moved to Australia. Daniel then moved back to France, where he worked for three years at sports eyewear brand Julbo as export manager. From 2007 to 2009, he was the EMEA export manager in charge of wholesale and retail at Rip Curl. In summer 2010, he joined ski brand Rossignol, where he worked as global commercial director for 14 years.
With his 20-year-plus experience in the sector, Daniel will strengthen the team at Pyrenex, and encourage “renewed growth” at the French outdoor brand specialised in mountaineering gear.
“Joining such an iconic brand, with over 160 years of expertise in down jackets, is a real honour,” said Daniel in a press release. “I can’t wait to start collaborating with Pyrenex’s talented team to accelerate the brand’s growth and international reach,” he added.
