Leading golf apparel company ProQuip has appointed Philip Turner as its new sales agent for south east England.
Turner joins the Scottish firm with immediate effect and will manage green grass accounts in Kent, Surrey, Sussex, Jersey, Guernsey and the M25 corridor south and west of London.
Turner said: “I’m joining ProQuip just as the brand begins an exciting new product cycle and I am eager to present the new SS25 apparel and AW25 weatherwear collections, as well as hand-picked ranges from Ashworth and Zerofit Sports.
“ProQuip is a heritage golf brand with a long-standing reputation for reliability, product innovation and high-margin generation. It is one of the best at manufacturing golf clothes that are both premium quality and fairly priced.”
Turner replaces Ian Dennison, ProQuip’s longest-serving sales agent, who retired last month after 28 years’ service.
Originally from Beckenham, Turner’s career in golf began in 1990 as Area Sales Manager for Dunlop Slazenger, before moving to TaylorMade. For the last 20 years he has acted as a sales agent for Glenbrae knitwear and partnered with Paterson Golf, suppliers of golf accessories, luggage, gifts and headwear in 2011.
Russell Brooks, general manager of ProQuip Golf, said: “Philip is a great addition to the ProQuip sales team. We value the wealth of industry experience he brings from working with leading golf brands over three decades. We are excited by his ideas and enthusiasm for servicing our valued customers in the southeast and growing the brand’s profile in an area rich in clubs, courses, resorts and retail outlets.”
In his new role, Turner will also carry Ashworth Golf, the Californian golf lifestyle clothier and Zerofit Sports, manufacturer of Heatrub Ultimate base layers, under ProQuip distribution agreements for the UK and Ireland markets. He will continue representing Paterson Golf.
Retailers interested in stocking ProQuip, Zerofit and Ashworth can contact Philip on pgturner.golf@gmail.com and 07795 416526. For more information about ProQuip, visit www.proquipgolf.net
