In the run-up to Christmas, sustainable, technical activewear brand Pangaia is being extra busy on two fronts at its flagship Carnaby Street, London store.
Personalising Christmas gifts can give a retailer the edge during the festive sales season, so Pangaia will introduce a three-day custom embroidery service at the store across 5-7 December.
Pangaia has linked up with Hawthorne & Heaney who will provide complimentary in-store personalised appointments to embroider hoodies and track pants.
Following that, the fashion brand’s linking up with sustainable beauty & wellness boutique big.beauty to open a pop-up at the store across 12-14 December. It “invites shoppers to explore bag’s carefully curated selection of zero-waste beauty and wellness products… for guilt-free festive gifting”.
The three-day event will be run buy big.beauty founders Lisa Targett Bolding and Marijke Adderley and their team to offer personalised skin consultations and help shoppers curate their holiday gifts.
Visitors will also discover limited-edition, high-performance products “rarely available outside big.’s Hackney boutique”, including Lesse’s stripped-down skincare range and Subtle Bodies’ incense sticks.
To kick off the festivities, the event will feature drinks, a live DJ, and a facial massage workshop led by big.’s resident ‘facialist’, Rebecca Pearson.
Bolding said: “With 95% of cosmetic packaging getting thrown away, and only 9% being recycled, packaging is one of the biggest sustainability challenges facing the beauty industry. We’re here to change that and provide a platform for the pioneer brands designing waste out of the system.
“Partnering with Pangaia was a no-brainer, as innovators around materiality and waste they are the perfect space for us to showcase the best of big.’s collection this festive season.”
