The Pakistan vs England Test 2024 cricket series will start in Multan on Monday, October 7.
The upcoming three-match Test series is part of the ongoing ICC ICC World Test Championship (WTC) 2023-25.
As per the Pakistan vs England Test 2024 schedule, the opening two Tests of the three-match series will be played at the Multan Cricket Stadium. The third and final Test is scheduled to be played at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
Ranked eighth in the ICC men’s Test team rankings, Pakistan have played seven Tests in the current WTC cycle.
With two victories and five defeats, Pakistan are placed eighth in the WTC 2023-25 standings with a points percentage of 19.05%. They are scheduled to play seven more Tests in the ongoing WTC cycle.
Ahead of the three-match Test series, the Pakistan national cricket team has announced their 15-man squad for the first Test in Multan.
Kamran Ghulam and Mohammad Ali have been left out from Pakistan’s Test squad that lost to Bangladesh 0-2 in the previous two-match Test series.
On the other hand, the England cricket team has received a massive boost with the return of their captain Ben Stokes for the Pakistan tour.
Additionally, opener Zak Crawley has also returned to England’s 17-member Test squad after missing the recent Sri Lanka Test series due to injury. As a result, Dan Lawrence has been left out from the squad.
Brydon Carse and Jordan Cox are two uncapped players included in England’s Test squad. Pacer Josh Hull has also retained his place for his first overseas tour.
Spin duo Rehan Ahmed and Jack Leach have also recovered from their injuries and have been added in the squad alongside Shoaib Bashir to strengthen their bowling attack.
The Pakistan vs England Test head-to-head record favours the latter. England have won 29 of the 89 Tests that they have played against each other so far. Pakistan have registered 21 victories. As many as 39 Test matches have ended in draws.
The last time these two sides met, England secured a 3-0 series victory in Pakistan in December 2022.
Live streaming of the Pakistan vs England Test 2024 series will be available on the FanCode app and website in India. However, there will be no live telecast of the three-match Test series on any TV channel in India.
The Pakistan vs England Test 2024 series will be telecast live on A-Sports, Ten Sports and PTV Sports TV channels in Pakistan. Live streaming of the PAK vs ENG Test 2024 series will be available on Tamasha and Tapmad.
In the United Kingdom, the Test series will be telecast on Sky Sports while BBC Sport (UK) will be the radio partners.
