The ongoing collaboration between British designer Grace Wales Bonner‘s namesake label and sporting behemoth Adidas needs little introduction. Since their first joint collection in 2020, the coveted collaboration between Wales Bonner and Adidas Originals has struggled to stay in stock and we expect their latest effort to be no exception to the rule.
According to an official release from Adidas, the upcoming spring/summer 2024 collection, which is called The Rift Valley Runners and is released tomorrow, was inspired by ‘the enduring legacy of east African runners’. The name of the collection itself is named after the high-altitude home of champion athletes in Iten, Kenya.

The campaign, which was lensed by Viviane Sassen, captures world class Adidas runners Emmanuel Wanyonyi, Bethwel Yegon, Nelly Chepchirchir, Charles Simotwo, Cornelius Kemboi and Barselius Kipyego, all of whom are sporting the new Wales Bonner collection.
As we’ve come to expect from the designer, in the collection are bold tracksuit sets in contrasting colours, printed running shorts and neon knitwear. For those with more minimal tastes, there is beige outerwear and classic grey jersey sweatshirts. The collaboration also includes bags, printed socks and a reversible bucket hat. Consider it the ideal capsule wardrobe ahead of festival season.
Having already issued 25 sell-out sneakers since the collaboration’s inception four years ago, it wouldn’t be a Wales Bonner and Adidas collaboration without the trainers. After the untimely death of the Samba (thanks, Rishi), the Adidas SL 76 has stepped up as the new shoe du jour.
The spring/summer 2024 collection sees the SL 76 reimagined in a yellow and black combination and in a light blue hue with black accents. The Samba does feature in the drop, but in a way that looks the least Samba-y it could – the iconic three stripes fade into the background to make way for contrasting heel details.
So, set your alarms – the Adidas Oiginals by Wales Bonner Spring/Summer 2024 collection is available globally tomorrow at adidas.com, Confirmed, and through select retailers.
