LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) – No. 14 Kentucky men’s basketball (16-7, 5-5 SEC) snapped a two-game losing skid against the South Carolina Gamecocks (10-13, 0-10 SEC) 80-57 Saturday afternoon inside Rupp Arena.
UK was playing at close to full strength for the match-up, missing just fifth-year guard Kerr Kriisa (foot injury). Both fifth-year guards Lamont Butler and Jaxson Robinson were game time decisions, but did play, combining for 14 points. It was Butler’s first time playing in three games.
Four Wildcats finished in double-figures, led by junior guard Otega Oweh with 17 (6-10 FG). Oweh has scored in double-figures in all 22 games this season.
The Cats host No. 4 Tennessee (20-4, 7-4 SEC) Tuesday night at Rupp for a 7:00 P.M. EST tip-off on ESPN.
