Have you ever heard the phrase, “You only play the first half to get to the second half”? Well, the 2024 NFL regular season is coming to an end in Week 18 and all of the games will no longer matter once the playoff field is set.
Every team’s new goal will go from making the postseason to winning the Super Bowl.
Fourteen teams will make the postseason, with the other 18 turning their attention to personnel changes, free agency and the upcoming NFL Draft. All but two of the playoff spots have been determined, but the final week of the regular season will also solidify every team’s seeding.
The Chiefs are locked into the No. 1 seed for the AFC. Kansas City will receive a first-round bye and is trying to win its third Super Bowl title in a row. Teams have been to three Super Bowls in a row, but the Chiefs could become the first team to ever win three in a row.
To start Week 18, there were two games on Saturday. The first saw the Ravens clinch the AFC North with a win over the Browns. In the second, the Bengals kept their playoff hopes alive with a 19-17 win over the Steelers.
Below is a breakdown of everything you need to know about the 2025 NFL playoffs. The bracket and playoff schedule will be updated as teams are determined.

Every network will get a playoff game at some point so it is important to follow along through each round. Most of the Wild Card games will be held on CBS, Fox or Amazon. The “Sunday Night Football” Wild Card matchup will be held on NBC and streamed on Peacock. The “Monday Night Football” will air on ESPN and ABC.
The TV channels for the Divisional Round haven’t been determined, but the Conference Championship Games will be split between Fox and CBS. The Super Bowl on Feb. 9 will air on Fox.
Every NFL playoff game on ESPN, ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox will be available on Fubo, which is currently offering a free trial.
The 2025 Super Bowl will be held on Sunday, Feb. 9. The Conference Championships will take place the last weekend of January and the NFL is still giving both teams a week break to recover and prepare. That space will be filled with the 2025 Pro Bowl Games on Sunday, Feb. 2.
