Scottish giants Rangers could be handed a major financial lifeline in the coming months.
Head coach Philippe Clement has publicly admitted the club are in serious financial difficulty with the Belgian also battling to keep hi job at Ibrox Stadium.
Club accounts from 2023/24 stated Rangers had suffered a pre-tax loss of £17.3m [$21.9m] up from £3.1m [$4m] in the previous financial period despite bringing in a club record £88.3m [$111.6m] in annual revenue.
The main reason for the drop-off – as per analysis from the Swiss Ramble – was focused on a major reduction in money brought in via player sales as a number of expected transfer deals fell through.
