England are in a good position heading into day three of their opening Test against New Zealand thanks to Harry Brook’s century.
The Yorkshire batter continued his excellent form in Pakistan by taking England from 45-3 to 319-5 at the close of play.
He is currently on 132 and is alongside captain Ben Stokes, who has 37.
Ollie Pope also managed to get some runs, scoring 77, but debutant Jacob Bethell only managed ten.
The batting response followed a good bowling effort from England, who managed to limit New Zealand to 348, with Shoaib Bashir and Brydon Carse each taking four wickets.
The first Test of this three-match series got underway on Wednesday, November 27.
It is being held at the Hagley Oval in Christchurch and play will begin at 10pm UK time each day.

Speaking to talkSPORT, he said: “We knew it was going to be tough with the new ball – it’s how the game goes out here.
“But Brooky does what Brooky does and put together a really special knock, and he’s put us in a great position.
“He works as hard as anyone at their game.
“It’s pretty clear that he’s worked hard on his fitness, and he’s pretty relentless in how he goes about his practice, and he’s going to keep on developing.”
