Nesti, a UK-based sales tech AI startup, celebrates closing its pre-seed funding round early.
Nesti, a platform designed to equip sales development teams to exceed their targets with personalised outbound videos at scale, has secured £250,000 in a competitive pre-seed funding round, led by SFC Capital.
This investment will help Nesti maintain its pace of innovation, build out its engineering team and expedite its pace of growth & customer support to keep up with demand for their latest product. The product uses generative AI video models to transform outbound sales with its ability to create AI replicas of sales reps, enabling them to produce unique, personal, and interactive outbound prospecting videos, on dynamic landing pages, at scale. On average, Nesti’s clients have seen a 65% uplift in demos booked and a 300% increase in response rates. Nesti is building what Salesloft built for email personalisation, but for video prospecting.
The oversubscribed round was led by SFC Capital, the London-based Venture Capital firm who have also backed the likes of Cognism and Onfido. Investment has also come in from some of Nesti’s early clients which already range from high-growth SaaS scaleups to global firms. Selected B2B sales, GTM, and marketing heavyweights have also invested, such as Richard Fitzmaurice, renowned Global B2B CMO & NED, Lee Durham and Richard Lane, co-founders of the UK’s leading sales acceleration agency durhamlane, and Ben Kent, Founder & CEO of the number one provider of client insight to the world’s leading advisory firms, Meridian West.
This announcement follows the unprecedented success of Nestiʼs early customers. The platformʼs proven ability to drive significant uplift in outbound sales conversion rates and pipeline generation has sparked intense interest from a wide range of companies, from mid-market technology companies through to global FTSE 100 firms.
Ed Stevenson, Investment Executive at SFC Capital, said: “The team at Nesti are building one of the most exciting B2B platforms we have seen recently. Nesti is well designed, extremely easy to use and is already proving its effectiveness amongst sales teams. There is an abundance of potential to not only own the generative AI video prospecting space but also expand into horizontal markets. We are excited to be working with the team as they expand and grow.”
Richard Fitzmaurice, Global CMO & Angel Investor said: “Pipeline generation is critical to any B2B business. Traditional outbound tactics are increasingly ineffective in today’s crowded markets, with companies often making the mistake of doing things how they have always been done and trying to stand out by using the same tactics as their competitors. When the majority of rivals go left, Nesti is giving the world’s most ambitious companies the ability to go right. Accessing the latest technology that will help them break through the noise and stand out. With the traction Nesti is getting in the market, the reception to demos and the pace at which the clients want to sign up and get going, Nesti is proving to be a watershed movement for sales and marketing leaders for any firm that wants to see an uplift
in sales conversion. As history has taught us, the early birds often get the worm and for
Nesti’s visionary clients, the pipeline is there for the taking.”
Morgan Edmondson, Co-founder G CEO at Nesti, said: “We are thrilled that such high caliber investors immediately recognised our ability to drive sales growth for our customers, allowing us to close our pre-seed funding round early. The commercial functions of businesses large and small are proving to be hungry for modernisation. The speed at which we have been able to develop our technology has been matched by the speed of our clients ability to both implement it, and see a significant uplift in conversion rates; a very clear
indicator of the transformative nature of generative AI video prospecting in outbound sales. With our team’s deep understanding of the latest technology, the talent market and need for security, it is our goal to be the default choice for mid-market and enterprise grade AI sales tech that can add real commercial value not tomorrow, but right now.”
Lufie Kellett, Co-founder G CRO at Nesti, said: “In this tough economic climate, companies are really having to watch their bottom line. Sales teams are under immense pressure to find new ways to succeed, especially at the top of the funnel – that’s where Nesti comes in. We’re fundamentally helping companies improve outbound conversion rates and drive more pipeline by integrating scalable & personalised video into their campaigns.”
William Fletcher, Co-founder G CPO at Nesti, said: “We’re excited about the closure of this funding round, enabling us to expand our team with world-class engineering talent that are excited to be building at the forefront of sales technology and AI. Looking forward, the next few months will be dedicated to rolling out even more new features to the Nesti platform and continuously evolving how sales teams use video in their prospecting workflows and keep ahead of the competition”.
ABOUT NESTI
In an increasingly challenging B2B outbound sales environment, where pipeline generation is the lifeblood of any business, Nesti offers a new approach. With sales, revenue, and GTM leaders seeing decreasing returns in almost every outbound channel, there is a growing need to adopt a more personal and interactive approach to outbound sales – Nesti was founded to solve this very challenge.
After hundreds of conversations with sales & go-to-market leaders, the team discovered that many sales teams were experiencing a notable increase in outbound engagement when content was delivered in video form. As a result, many sales teams have been turning to video as a means to combat diminishing returns in their existing outbound sales efforts. Unlike email sequencing, the challenge here is that sales reps are limited by their capacity to only create 5 to 10 videos per hour due to errors and retakes. From this insight, the team recognised that there was a pressing need for an automated and scalable video prospecting solution designed for the outbound SDR function in order to industrialise the video tactics that work and deliver transformational growth.
Nesti was founded in 2024 by Morgan Edmondson (CEO), Luke Kellett (CRO), and William Fletcher (CPO), the team decided to join forces to tackle the outbound sales challenges that they had faced firsthand. The product has already garnered significant interest from high-growth SaaS companies through to global FTSE 100 brands, and is projected to continue growing strongly.
Nestiʼs platform allows sales teams to create digital AI replicas that look, sound, and act exactly like them. From this, sales reps can create 100s or 1,000s of personalised prospecting videos from a singular script, using their own digital AI replica. Each video resides on its own 1:1 landing page that can be easily customised and personalised for each prospect. Sales reps can embed calendar booking systems, content, case studies and much more, delivering a unique outbound experience to each prospect on their list, in just a few easy clicks.
Nesti sits at the intersection of the customerʼs data platform and outbound emailing platform. The platform works seamlessly with existing outbound tooling such as HubSpot, Salesloft, Outreach and more, allowing for the distribution of personalised AI videos out of their existing sequencing workflows.
For Nesti, this is just the beginning, and we will continue to lead the way in helping the next generation of B2B sales teams create highly converting, personal and interactive outbound experiences at scale.
