The No. 8 Tennessee Volunteers men’s basketball team hosts the No. 12 Kentucky Wildcats. It’s a matchup between two nationally ranked rivals that you won’t want to miss.

As one of the longest-standing rivalries in men’s basketball, Tennessee and Kentucky have gone head-to-head 239 times in history. While Kentucky has the edge with a 161-78 overall record against the Wildcats, recent results have been more split.

In 2024, the two teams split 1-1 against each other, each winning in their home arena. The year before, Kentucky swept Tennessee. But the year before that, Tennessee swept Kentucky.

With a 17-3 record, Tennessee ranks No. 8 nationally behind Auburn, Duke, Iowa State, Alabama, Florida, Houston, and Michigan State. Kentucky is on their trail at No. 12 with only Marquette, Purdue, and Kansas in between.
