Mac McClung is getting a shot to defend his consecutive Slam Dunk Contest titles.
McClung is back after making a name for himself in 2023 and 2024 as the first-ever G League player to compete in — and win — the NBA Dunk Contest. The high-flying guard, currently on a two-way deal with the Orlando Magic, is again one of the four contestants for the 2025 event after some impressive dunks in the past two years.
The 2025 NBA All-Star Dunk Contest, one of the three All-Star Saturday Night events, will include McClung, Spurs rookie Stephon Castle, Bulls rookie Matas Buzelis, and Bucks guard Andre Jackson Jr.

10:32 p.m. — Mac. McClung. He’s only getting more creative with his dunks; this time, he dunks one ball that’s being held on a hoverboard while dunking a second that was held next to the rim. Three dunks, three perfect scores.
We are running out of words…

10:03 p.m. — Andre Jackson Jr. is third for Dunk 1, but also struggles to throw down the dunk he wanted to originally. Unlike Buzelis though, he settles for a safer idea by dunking with two hands to earn a 43.8.
9:58 p.m. — The Bulls’ Matas Buzelis comes up next, but walks away with the minimum 40 points after missing all of his attempts.

All three events during 2025 NBA All-Star Saturday Night will be broadcast nationally on TNT and TruTV. Streaming options include Sling.
The NBA All-Star Slam Dunk Contest has two rounds, with five judges scoring dunks on a scale of six to 10. This year’s judges are NBA legends Baron Davis, Kevin Garnett, Tracy McGrady, and Jason Richardson, with the fifth judge being an NBA ID Member Rep who will reveal the average score given by fans in real time via the NBA App. The highest score a dunk can receive is 50, while 30 is the lowest possible score.
Each of the four contestants gets two dunks in the first round. The two players with the highest combined score for their two dunks will advance to the finals.
The two finalists also get two dunks each in the final round. The dunker with the highest combined score for the two dunks will be named champion.
In the event of a tie in the final round, a one-dunk dunk-off will determine the champion. “Judges’ choice” will determine the outcome if there is a tie beyond the dunk-off.
