Germany’s Mustang has inked a new footwear licensing deal with Supremo Shoes & Boots GmbH. as the lifestyle brand looks to expand its footwear reach and develop its collections.
After more than 20 years of collaboration with distributors Tendenza and 2Go, Supremo Shoes & Boots will take over the responsibility as the new footwear licensed partner for Mustang, starting with the autumn/winter 2025 collection from July 1.
“With our new shoe licence, we intend to continue Mustang’s success story in the footwear world and to develop our range
further,” said Supremo managing director, Wawi Weichhart.
“We will bring quality and innovation to each design whilst also maintaining Mustang’s authentic style. The acquisition of this new licence opens up exciting opportunities for addressing new customer groups and unlocking new markets.”
The partnership looks to further develop the shoe brand in fashion terms and expand the brand’s retail trade in Germany and Europe, though no further details were disclosed.
“We are delighted to have found an energetic and reliable partner in Wawi Weichhart and his team, who are bound to give the Mustang success story a further boost,” said Mustang CEO, Andreas Bau.
In 2024, revenue in the footwear market of Europe is expected to reach US$103.7bn., with a forecast to grow annually by 1.76% (CAGR 2024-2029), according to Statista.
