Stockport County have signed striker Michael Mellon on a season-long loan from Championship side Burnley.
The 20-year-old, son of Oldham Athletic boss Micky Mellon, spent part of last term on loan at Morecambe, where he scored 15 goals in 27 appearances.
A Scotland youth international, he was then recalled from his stint at Morecambe and spent the remainder of last term on loan with Scottish Premiership side Dundee.
“Michael had a fantastic 2023-24 season in terms of his goal return and has naturally attracted plenty of interest from clubs this summer,” Hatters boss Dave Challinor said., external
