Sportsbook technology provider, Metric Gaming, has announced a new partnership with Betzone, as the company looks to launch its new sportsbook venture in the UK.
Following the release of its sportsbook platform in the Netherlands in May, Metric Gaming has now turned its attention to the UK market with this latest collaboration. The company’s self-proclaimed ‘whiter-than-white’ regulatory policy has been subsequently put to the test in the highly regulated Dutch market, as the nation’s regulator, Kansspelautoriteit (KSA), revised its responsible gambling policy in June.
Last July, Metric Gaming also became a member of the International Betting Integrity Association (IBIA), joining over 150 other members. Now, it seeks to enter another tightly regulated landscape in the UK market.
Keith Hayes, CEO at Metric Gaming, commented on the development: “We feel privileged to have been selected by the Betzone team before we had a live product out there, and we aim to repay their astute judgement. Of course, we’re excited to enter our home market, but particularly as we will showcase our first proprietary product, Racing. With a soccer product in the works too, this is another important step to finally unlocking the power of this incredible platform we’ve built.”
For Betzone, this latest agreement marks its second UK-based partnership announcement of the week, after the company revealed it had also entered into collaboration with Gaming Innovation Group a few days ago.
Speaking on the new deal, Adam Joseph, COO at Betzone said: “We are delighted to announce the partnership with Metric. We have been impressed with their product and proposition, as well as their speed of delivery. We are confident they can support us with Betzone in the UK market, and the other opportunities we are planning”
