Matalan’s expansion into third-party brands has taken a significant leap forward, the retailer adding over 29 brands across core categories this summer.
As the value fashion and homewares omnichannel retailer continues to strengthen its online proposition, newcomers to its roster include fashion brands AX Paris, French Connection, Linzi, Urban Bliss and Gini London, among others.
Matalan’s menswear offer will be also bolstered by the additions of Tokyo Laundry, Crosshatch and Duck & Cover, and more.
To expand choice within the footwear offer, Totes has also joined the line-up, while Hauck and Ickle Bubba join its nursery offer.
Jewellery brands Jon Richard and Say It With will also launch online soon.
In homewares, additions include ValueLights, RU Comfy and Asiatic Rugs.
“By putting more of the womenswear, menswear, homeware and accessories brands that customers want in one place, Matalan is making shopping a more enjoyable, easier and hassle-free experience”, it said. The additions also “significantly improve the choice of stylish and quality products on offer”, it added.
The announcement follows the launch of 17 third-party brands in the spring, in addition to the 10 announced in December.
Ali Jones, Chief Customer & Omnichannel Officer at Matalan, said: “This is our third drop of new online brands since Christmas, which is testament to how well they have been received by Matalan shoppers who we know are on the hunt for more choice and newness when they visit us. With such a wide range of relevant and fashionable brands available alongside our core Matalan collections, we are a ‘one-stop-shop’ for customers, which is key to our strategy of building a modern, stronger Matalan.”
