Andrew Carr Injury Update

Mark Pope revealed that Andrew Carr, who played through back pain in Saturday’s Mississippi State win, did not participate in practice and is currently in “full rehab mode.” Despite this, Pope expressed optimism on his playing status, stating, “I anticipate he’s going to be able to play tomorrow, but that will be a game-time decision.”

Carr’s presence has been crucial for Kentucky, as his ability to impact the game on both ends of the court is reflected in his career stats:

• 2024-25 Season: 16 games, 26.6 minutes per game, 53.9% FG, 31.0% 3P, 78.3% FT, 5.9 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 11.3 points per game.

Carr is officially listed as probably, which by the SEC’s standards means there is a 75% percent that he will play tonight.

Kerr Kriisa Injury Update

Pope also shared news regarding guard Kerr Kriisa, who is still recovering from an injury that has limited his availability. According to Pope, Kriisa has begun spending parts of the day outside of his protective boot but remains several weeks away from a return.

Kriisa’s absence has been felt in the backcourt, though the Wildcats have adjusted well.

Until Kriisa returns, freshman guard Travis Perry will continue to provide depth, spelling Lamont Butler as needed. Perry has stepped up admirably in the rotation, gaining valuable experience.
