Last week saw the UK Labour Party’s General Electrion Manifesto published and it included the party’s intentions as far as gambling is concerned.

The section read: “Labour is committed to reducing gambling-related harm. Recognising the evolution of the gambling landscape since 2005, Labour will reform gambling regulation, strengthening protections. We will continue to work with the industry on how to ensure responsible gambling.”

Labour has to win first, but if it does, then it will be up to the industry to put the pressure on not to waste all the good work carried out in the recent white paper exercise. Our interests in that will be looked after by Bacta. The Conservative Manifesto made no mention of the industry.
