Longchamp has reported a 20% revenue growth for fiscal 2024. The French independent leather goods label founded in 1948, which does not disclose its revenue results, has stated that all its commercial regions and distribution channels contributed to this growth. In the period in question, revenue jumped by 33% in Europe, by 27% in the USA, and by 93% in Korea. Longchamp also did well in the Middle East, where it has opened four new stores.
Longchamp’s overall growth rate, however, was below the 44% posted in 2023, when revenue soared by 84% in mainland China, accounting for 20% of total revenue. Longchamp did not give any indication about its 2024 performance in China, where the consumption slowdown has had an impact on the majority of luxury goods brands.
In 2024, Longchamp generated 19% of its revenue in France, 35% in the rest of Europe and the Middle East, 13% in the Americas, and 34% in the Asia-Pacific region. “Our growth has enabled us to create 800 new jobs in two years, half of them in France,” Longchamp stated in a press release. Notably, Longchamp’s online sales increased by 30% in 2024, and have doubled over two years.
The label operates 354 monobrand stores, which it runs directly through 25 subsidiaries. “Approximately 300 of these stores were renovated between 2022 and 2024. The new-look interiors, featuring the eclectic vibe of a Parisian apartment, allow the label to develop and exhibit its collections of contemporary art and furniture,” said Longchamp.
Longchamp is a family company that employs 4,245 people worldwide. In 2024, it recruited and trained some 200 artisans in its workshops, and is planning to do the same in 2025.
