London has dominated a new survey of the top places to visit in the UK.
A new study by online casino comparison service, Casino Alpha, ranks London as the most “instagrammable” destination in the UK.
While that’s not surprising, in itself, the top 10 list of must see UK attractions are dominated by London – so much so that only two on the list are located outside of the English capital. They are Edinburgh Castle (number 10) and Stonehenge (number 8).
According to the list, the London Eye and Covent Garden are bigger draws than Stonehenge; while The Shard building in London is more “instagrammable” than the wondrous Edinburgh Castle.
A spokesperson for Casino Alpha said: “It’s interesting to see which tourist attractions in the UK are the most Instagrammable. With social media playing a significant role in today’s society, many tourists will think about the potential Instagram content they can get while visiting an attraction.
“This is especially true for influencers who may even prioritise the attractions with the best backdrops and settings for taking pictures when deciding which ones to visit.
“London is a top destination to visit in the UK if this is the goal, as most of the tourist attractions in the top 10 are located there.”
