The Philadelphia 76ers have a few exciting rookies on their team, including former Duke Blue Devils guard Jared McCain and former Kentucky Wildcats forward Justin Edwards.
Let’s just say the two are having a fun time playing on the same team.
They made a bet, and then a video was released of McCain, the loser of said bet, rocking a Wildcats shirt. He quickly tried to cover it up, though, but not before Edwards was able to get his video in.
Both players spent just one season with their respective collegiate organizations.
Wearing Kentucky merchandise may have helped McCain play better. On Wednesday, he scored a career-high 34 points on 12/26 shooting against the Cleveland Cavaliers. He also notched a career-best 10 assists. Despite that, the 76ers continued to struggle and lost at home. The No. 16 overall pick has scored at least 23 points in three straight games.
Maybe, just maybe, he should keep wearing that Kentucky blue.
