Jet2CityBreaks have launched two new holiday destinations in Slovakia and Sweden in response to “strong demand” from UK holidaymakers.
Just in time for the Christmas markets, packages are now on sale from as early as tomorrow to Bratislava in Slovakia, and Malmo in Sweden.
Visitors opting for Bratislava will be flown to Vienna Airport and transferred over the border, which is about a one hour drive, to explore its charming old town and historical sites, including Bratislava Castle and St. Martin’s Cathedral.
Packages are on sale from 18 October 2024 until 19 May 2025, with twice weekly services on Monday and Friday from Manchester and Birmingham airport.
Known for its pretty Christmas markets, flights will be ramped up over the festive period and customers will be able to fly from nine UK airports in November and December 2024.
The airports will be Birmingham, Bristol, East Midlands, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds Bradford, London Stansted, Manchester and Newcastle International airports.
Festive packages to Malmo have also gone on sale from 29 November until 23 December 2024, with flights two days a week from Leeds Bradford or Newcastle International airport.
Customers will land in Copenhagen before catching a direct train over the Oresund Bridge that links Denmark with Sweden.
Available for a shorter period, this package is exclusively aimed at festive travellers in search of the perfect Christmas market, where wooden stalls line the streets selling traditional Swedish ‘glogg’ mulled wine, and saffron buns.
Those opting for the more luxurious 4-star stays in Bratislava aren’t looking at bank-breaking prices compared to other Christmas market destinations such as neighbouring Vienna.
For example, a 3-night stay at the 4-star Mamaison Residence Sulekova could cost £259, departing from Birmingham on 8 November 2024.
A comparable 3-night stay in Malmo at the 4-star Best Western Plus Noble House costs £419 per person, departing from Leeds Bradford on 20 December 2024.
