Woman thought she would die after partner beat her unconscious
Brandon Fisher beat his girlfriend unconscious and fractured her eye-socket before punching her again as soon as she woke up.
The woman said she tried to reach for her phone during the attack, but Fisher pulled back her fingers to stop her from calling the police.
She told the court that she thought she would die.
Fisher, 25 and of Shore Avenue in Upton, was jailed for two years and two months for assault occasioning actual bodily harm and wounding without intent.

Group of thugs fractured man’s skull and ‘stamped on his head’
A man was left with a fractured skull after he was beaten, kicked and reportedly stamped on the head by Phillip Torrance, Gareth Mills and Stuart McInally.
It was said that the man was seen drunk in a Blandford Morrisons car park after being kicked out of a pub when he began speaking to Mills.
The man was heard to say, “you want to start then”, before Mills punched him, making him fall to the ground.
While on the floor, Torrance and McInally joined in and kicked the man, with a witness reporting that the group stamped on his head.
Torrance, 42 and of Gillingham, and McInally, 53 and of Blandford St Mary, were jailed for two and a half years for assault occasioning grievous bodily harm.
Mills, 38 and of Sturminster Newton, was jailed for four years for assault occasioning grievous bodily harm as well as a separate assault on his partner.

Gareth Mills slammed his girlfriend’s head into concrete while she screamed and neighbours watched.
She was heard to shout “I can’t breathe” before she went quiet and Mills said “wakey wakey”.
A witness heard the woman beg Mills to stop in which he responded: “I don’t give a f*** about being banged up.
“Not a big girl now.”
Mills was on bail at the time of the offence for beating a man alongside co-defendants, Phillip Torrance and Stuart McInally.
For both offences, Mills, 38 and of Sturminster Newton, was jailed for four years.

Woman ‘chased by loan sharks’ took £50k of Covid support loan to pay gambling debt
Ying Hiu Choy fraudulently took £50,000 from a Covid support scheme to pay off loan sharks that were reportedly threatening her family in China.
Choy lied about her business turnover to access the money which was launched during the pandemic to support business.
However, instead of using the funds to improve her company, Choy paid off her huge gambling debts.
Choy, 54 and of Barrack Road in Christchurch, was jailed for 12 months after pleading guilty to fraud by false representation.

Man who murdered and dismembered lodger has prison sentence increased
Benjamin Atkins’ prison sentence has been increased after he murdered and dismembered a lodger before leaving his body parts along Bournemouth seafront with his girlfriend.
Atkins was convicted of the murder of 49-year-old Simon Shotton and sentenced to 19 years in prison, while his partner, Debbie Pereira was jailed for four years for perverting the course of justice.
However, following their sentence in July, the case was referred to the Court of Appeal under the unduly lenient sentencing scheme.
Atkins will now face a minimum term of 21 years, while Pereira’s sentence for perverting the course of justice was increased to six years.

Drug dealer assaulted police and ‘spat wraps of drugs from mouth’ after being stopped
Abdul-Azizh Kamara ‘spat wraps of drugs from his mouth’ and assaulted an officer when he was stopped by police in Bournemouth town centre.
Kamara sprayed the officer in the face with an unknown liquid before attempting to flee the scene.
He was stopped and searched nearby where he was found with more than £1,000 in cash.
28 wraps of cocaine and heroin were also found in his car, which estimated at more than £8,000.
Further searches at an associated address then found more than £11,000 in cash.
Abdul-Azizh Kamara, of Bournemouth, admitted two charges of possessing class A drugs with intent to supply, assaulting an emergency worker and two counts of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs.
He was sentenced to a total of four years in prison.

Quincy Rufus Digby Hopkins stole hundreds of pounds worth of meat products in just over a month in shops across Ringwood.
