Sinner v Draper
Annabel Croft
Former British number one on BBC Radio 5 Live and BBC Sounds
It’s hard not to be impressed, just the way Jack Draper has gone about his business. He’s been very clinical, he hasn’t dropped a set.
Even though he has had a few opponents who have been a little bit injured and hampered, he has not been distracted by any of that. He has served beautifully.
He hasn’t always had a high first serve percentage but once it has got a bit edgy and tight in his service games, he has always come up with the goods, with big serving, aces and using that leftie swinger and sending his opponents into the hoardings.
I think the most impressive thing has been his composure. Just no antics, no losing concentration and focus. Head down, get on with the job. It’s all coming together. He needs every ounce that he can possibly bring together to go up against a much higher level opponent today in the world number one.
