InteleTravel is poised to introduce a new business travel platform by early 2025, signalling a shift in its strategic focus.
With a launch expected across key markets, this initiative aims to redefine how business travel is managed.
InteleTravel is set to make a significant leap in the business travel sector with its upcoming platform. Expected to launch in the first quarter of 2025, this platform, termed as an online travel agency by InteleTravel’s chief executive, James Ferrara, aims to cater specifically to business travellers. It will be available in major markets such as the UK and the US, marking another milestone for the company.
James Ferrara emphasises that the platform will allow broad access to various travel advisors. InteleTravel’s move follows its acquisition of Hickory Global Partners and MGME, a corporate events and meeting planner. Advisors using the platform can book business travel and access exclusive benefits. It’s designed for both InteleTravel and industry partners, showcasing a collaborative effort to enhance travel solutions.
The initiative is part of a strategic expansion plan, underscoring InteleTravel’s vision of growth. Ferrara was promoted to chief executive to focus on acquisitions that add value and align with the company’s objectives. “These acquisitions bring us new travel markets,” he states, with a view to integrating technology and increasing sales for advisors.
InteleTravel plans to offer training modules to assist agents in mastering business travel sales. This educational push acknowledges the informal expertise agents have gleaned, aiming to formalise it. Additionally, a referral system will empower agents to direct corporate clients to MGME, ensuring comprehensive service delivery and earning opportunities for agents.
The business travel platform will uniquely allow business travellers to engage in self-service while ensuring loyalty to the agency that initiated the transaction. This model extends the independent agent model through a compensation plan for agents facilitating corporate connections. Ferrara highlights, “The goal is to make InteleTravel bigger and better all the time.”
With the existing placeholder site at businesstravel.com, InteleTravel is gearing up for the official launch. The focus remains on leveraging acquisitions to drive growth, while maintaining a robust network of travel advisors. Comprehensive strategies ensure the platform not only meets existing needs but anticipates future demands, signifying forward-thinking leadership.
Overall, InteleTravel’s forthcoming platform embodies a vision for the future of business travel. By integrating cutting-edge technology and fostering advisor collaboration, InteleTravel aims to transform the travel landscape. The company’s strategic path forward reflects its commitment to scalability and innovation, setting a benchmark in travel management.
