Some hotel rooms can really take you by surprise.
People travel all around the world for a variety of reasons. Whether you’re going on holiday or you’re on a business trip for work, millions of people check into hotels every single day.
But one woman got more than she bargained for when she arrived at the hotel she’d booked to stay in while travelling for work. Her experience with her rather odd-looking sleeping arrangements has gone viral, with people unable to contain their laughter.
Ash Loren posted a video on TikTok in which she explained she had told the staff at the hotel that her trip was for business and not leisure, and started to get suspicious that something was up as soon as she arrived, as she said the man at the front desk was acting “weird.”
She said: “He was like, ‘Don’t worry, I know you’re travelling for work. I’m going to make sure you have the best hotel room for your work travel.'”
Ash then zoomed her camera out for the big reveal – her hotel room was a bizarre mix between a normal bedroom and a conference room, with a large table surrounded by chairs in the middle of the room.
The bed in Ash’s room was one that could be folded back into the wall to make the space fully functional as a meeting room. She even counted the chairs in the room – including the spare ones inside a cupboard – and found she had enough seats to invite 27 people over for a meeting.
The strange room also had a flipchart, and not one but two bathrooms. Ash also showed off her ironing board, which she noted was “customary for a hotel room” but not so much for a conference room.
She lamented her room did not come with a mini bar, but instead had a whole host of supplies including mini Post-It notes, a staple remover, and extension cords.
Ash said: “I don’t know how this happened, but I’m just imagining myself waking up and seizing the motherf***ing day.”
Commenters on the video were left in stitches over Ash’s bizarre hotel room, with many assuming the hotel just didn’t have their conference room booked so decided to put Ash in it for her stay.
One person said: ” I’m pretty sure that’s just the hotel staff’s conference room that they put a bed in.”
Another shared: “So unhinged but iconic at the same time.”
And a third posted: “I mean this is the best room for work travel, is it not? You could host any spontaneous meeting at any time!”
