A North Yorkshire town, Pateley Bridge near Ripon, has been hailed as the ‘perfect’ day trip destination for all ages. The charming location boasts a variety of attractions and amenities to suit everyone’s needs, along with a warm and friendly atmosphere.

One of the key highlights is the ample parking available at a minimal cost, both in long and short stay car parks and close to the high street. This allows visitors to conveniently store their shopping and explore the town further.

The layout of the town is also user-friendly, with businesses located across each other on the side of the road and clear signage making navigation easy.

For those seeking entertainment, there are numerous options including The Oldest Sweet Shop, Cocoa Joes which serves the ‘country’s best hot chocolate’, the Nidderdale Museum and The Tordoff gallery.

The latter is particularly unique, being the only gallery outside London that sells authentic film posters, with prices ranging from £50 to £170,000, reports Examiner Live. 

Further down the hill, a variety of takeaways including a fish and chip shop and pancake house can be found. There’s also a ‘hidden gem’ area boasting more shops and eateries, nestled amongst stunning historic buildings.

One of the standout features of Pateley Bridge is its celebration of local produce.

The Crown Inn sources its burgers and other items from local butchers, a practice echoed throughout the village.

Even the local butchers have created their own Pateley pasty to rival the Cornish version. Pateley Bridge is a destination for all seasons, offering everything one could need.

It’s hard to find fault with this charming North Yorkshire village, with its clean streets, friendly locals, and ample activities.
