STARKVILLE, Miss. — After opening Southeastern Conference play with a loss to unranked Georgia, the No. 6 Kentucky Wildcats are back on the road for a matchup with the No. 14 Mississippi State Bulldogs. Tipoff is set for Saturday at 8:30 p.m. Eastern on SEC Network.
Several streaming services will broadcast the game live, and you can watch on Fubo (free trial), DirecTV Stream (free trial) and Sling (promotional offers).
In the first year following the end of the John Calipari era, Kentucky (12-3) is right back in the nation’s best team conversation under new head coach Mark Pope. After spending five years at BYU, Pope came back to lead his alma mater.
Mississippi State (14-1), meanwhile, is one of five teams that are 2-0 in SEC play. The Bulldogs’ one loss this year came at home against a Butler team that had just one loss of its own at the time.
The Bulldogs have lost 18 consecutive matchups against the Wildcats. That streak lasted the duration of Calipari’s tenure and is tied for the fourth-longest winning streak against an SEC opponent in the long history of Kentucky basketball.
