I’m all about the ‘one-and-done’ coat this season, and De Savary’s statement Mongolian sheepskin styles are my latest obsession. With a coat this epic, I feel less guilty about sticking to my everyday all-black uniform of baggy jeans and a cashmere jumper underneath. Then, kitten-heel leopard-print boots, chunky gold earrings and sunglasses will add the perfect, high-glam finishing flourish.
My best investment this season has been Simone Rocha’s ‘bow tail’ T-shirt, which puts a special spin on an everyday piece. For fashion week, I’ll team it with a tulle midi-skirt, comfy ballet flats (a must when running around the city all day!) and a cosy knit to keep warm between shows. I’ll finish off my look with my favourite Completedworks earrings.
I’m on a mission to wear less black this fashion month, instead wearing colourful combinations to push myself to find new fashion territory. Most of these pieces are dream investments, but the sentiment of what they can achieve when worn together will inspire me over the next few days and into the new season.
I’m here for fabulous practicality over fashion month – four weeks on the road requires flat shoes, a bag big enough to hold a laptop plus something warm for 9am shows in drafty warehouses. This Toteme shearling is my big ticket buy but slots seamlessly into my mostly monochrome wardrobe.
After being inspired by the street style at Copenhagen Fashion Week last month where ties were everywhere, I’ve decided to try the accessory for myself. Styled with an oversized bomber jacket, crisp shirt, belted wool skirt and polished penny loafers, it adds the perfect finishing touch to my uniform-inspired look.
