Horses aged two will compete over six furlongs in the G2 Richmond Stakes on Day 3 at Glorious Goodwood. This race has been won by some impressive types in recent memory, including the highly progressive Vandeek in 2023.

The Strikin Viking is the leading chance, according to the betting for the race, as he makes his first start for Hamad Al Jehani after leaving the Kevin Ryan stable. His second behind Henri Matisse in the G2 Railway Stakes looks to set the standard.

However, the preference is for Tropical Storm, who will be the ride of Oisin Murphy. The two-year-old was an excellent second in the G2 Norfolk on his last start, with the form being boosted. Up in trip this week, and appears to be open to further progress.
