However, you don’t need a five-star luxury hotel-worthy wallet to channel The White Lotus‘ glamorous resortwear aesthetic. Alex Bovaird, the brains behind all of the show’s most lust-worthy looks, has teamed up with H&M to design an exclusive collection inspired by latest season of the hit series, that launches in stores and online on February 20.
Think billowing kaftans, statement swimwear, chic co-ords and dramatic evening dresses that ooze tropical getaway vibes, as well as crochet separates for Chelsea-esque boho types. Indeed, every eye-catching item that makes up the capsule draws directly from the carefully curated wardrobes of season three’s characters.
‘I think we’ve established with the series this concept that when you’re going on a White Lotus vacation, you are purposefully packing and, therefore, dressing with some deliberation and hope,’ explains Bovaird. ‘It is elevated vacation dressing and somewhat aspirational. This season, the characters present a version of who they want to be. It’s a little freer and more fun, more elaborate. This time, we had the heat of Southeast Asia and quite a specific spa location, which also influenced the wardrobe.’
Bright colours, dynamic prints and dramatic silhouettes are front and centre of Boviard’s H&M capsule, and, as the high-street brand puts it, ‘designed to be layered and adapted for languid poolside days and memory-making nights.’ Sounds pretty fabulous to us, particularly as we battle our way through the depths of what feels like a third consecutive winter… Right now, a big dose of far-flung, sun-soaked, escapist glamour is exactly what we need – and short of a plane ticket, this capsule is the fastest way there.
‘We have this little catchphrase on The White Lotus: “Nothing’s too much for The White Lotus!”’, continues Bovaird. ‘So, I’m drawn more to the bold patterns and the more sumptuous, billowing pieces: the halter-neck dress with the black-and-white elephant print, that flowy kaftan with ruffles, and the one in gorgeous juicy shades of purple. I would wear those green frill trouser flares and the matching oversized shirt. For the classic look, there are a couple of black styles that can be accessorised for a swanky dinner, or left simple.’
If you want to ensure you’re the best-dressed person on your next holiday, look no further. Keep scrolling for ELLE‘s edit of the best pieces to add to your wishlist now, and shop the second they drop:
