Gucci has opted to return to co-ed shows. The Italian luxury label owned by the Kering group will once again show its men’s and women’s collections together at the Milan womenswear weeks, in February for Fall/Winter 2025-26 and in September for Spring/Summer 2026. In addition to the two main seasonal events, Gucci will stage a third mixed-gender show, for its 2026 cruise collection, which will be presented on May 15 in Florence, as recently announced by the label.
“The Fall/Winter 2025-26 show will inaugurate a triptych of key events, during which the house will unveil its collections by means of a coherent, elegant and thoughtful narrative, in accordance with Sabato De Sarno’s creative vision. These events are a unique opportunity to express his vision, by fostering a permanent conversation between the men’s and women’s collections,” stated Gucci in a press release.
The co-ed show format was previously adopted by Gucci in 2017, under the aegis of its former creative director Alessandro Michele. Right after Michele’s departure, Gucci made its comeback on the runways in January 2023, showing its men’s collection on its own, without womenswear, and presenting the women’s collection in February.
Gucci, which is still experiencing difficulties, has not given any further explanation about this new strategy. The label’s revenue fell by 26% to €1.64 billion in Q3. Gucci is the midst of an organisational overhaul, and carried out a major senior management reshuffle at the start of October, naming Stefano Cantino as its new CEO. At the end of December, Valérie Leberichel will take charge of communications for Gucci.
