Customers can open an account online or in store
Martin Lewis’ MoneySavingExpert.Com advises that customers who switch to a certain Santander account can bag £150 free cash. The bank is giving the payment to new customers who switch to its Santander Edge or Edge up accounts.
The switch to a Santander Edge account requires a monthly fee of £3 but benefits will come with this including up to £20 cashback each month. The accounts allows you to earn 1% cashback on household bills with energy, council tax, broadband TV, mobile and water bills all included.
MoneySavingExpert.com says the Edge account also comes with an option to open a savings account that pays a 6% interest rate on balances up to £4,000 for the first year. Customers could earn around £240 a year interest.

To get the financial bonus, you can’t have had a switch bonus from Santander since September 2021 and you must be switching from a non-Santander Cahoot or Cater Allen account.
Customers can open an account online or in store. Within 60 days of opening the account, you’ll need to switch in an account from another bank, set up at least two Direct Debits, and deposit a minimum of £1,500. The £150 will be paid between 60 and 90 days after starting the switch.
Santander customers can also apply for an Edge credit card, which pays a year-long 2% cashback on almost all UK & overseas spending, up to a max £15 each month.
