A group of tourists were left astounded by their discovery during a recent visit to Snowdonia National Park.
Known for its stunning views, amazing walks and natural beauty, it’s no surprise that Wales is a popular destination for hikers. But, when one group put their walking boots on, they didn’t expect to find something so enchanting.
The visitors stumbled upon a hidden infinity pool nestled within the hills, offering an opportunity for a swim amidst the country’s stunning natural beauty. A video showcasing this secret gem was shared on TikTok by ukhiddengems, capturing the idyllic scene as the tourists enjoyed a dip in the pool against the backdrop of breathtaking views.
In the clip shared, the visitors seem to make the most of nature while having a dip in the pool. It looks totally peaceful, and the views surrounding them are stunning.
Dozens of people have viewed the video since it was shared, and many seemed to be impressed. The only snag was one did quesiton how anyone could go for a swim in January.
However, this “secret pool” isn’t such secret in Wales. After its discovery, it has become a hotspot for Instagram-worthy photos.
Interestingly, the “infinity pool” was originally constructed by Nant Peris farmer Wyn Mostyn Jones in 2016 as part of a £400,000 green energy project and was never intended to be a tourist attraction.
Since completing the building, the landowner has been astonished by the sheer volume of visitors descending on his private land above the Llanberis Pass in Gwynedd, drawn to the once-hidden gem. The Jones family has worked land in the area since the 1940s.
Speaking to North Wales Live, Mr Jones said: “Although I wasn’t expecting this response, I can understand why so many flock here. It has fantastic views here – it’s so peaceful and tranquil, and understandably, a beautiful place to enjoy.”
