Kentucky Wildcats women’s basketball kicked off Southeastern Conference play on Thursday night in Historical Memorial Coliseum, blowing out Mississippi State in a 91-69 beatdown.
Starting guards Dazia Lawrence and Georgia Amoore exploded for a combined 55 points on a collective 17/30 shooting from the floor and a remarkable 14/21 from 3-point range.
Kentucky set a school record by making 18 3-point shots.
Amelia Hassett (14 points) and Teonni Key (10 points) joined them in double-figure scoring.
It was one of their best offensive performances of the season, second to only their season-opening win over USC Upstate (98 points) back in early November.

On defense, the Wildcats were relentless — holding Mississippi State to just 35% shooting from the field and 26% from behind the arc.
Kentucky has now won five consecutive games, and Thursday night’s victory improved their record to 12-1 on the season.
On deck is a quick turnaround as the Wildcats hit the road to Nashville for a matchup at Vanderbilt, with tip-off scheduled for 3 PM ET on Sunday.
The game will be available via SEC Network Plus for stream.
