Bundesliga match at the Vonovia Ruhrstadion, Bochum
TV: Sky Sports, Friday, 7:30pm
With just four games to go, Bochum need to start getting some good results to avoid potential relegation. At the moment they’re in the relegation playoff spot, just five points above FC Koln, while Mainz are on the same points as them, ahead on goal difference with Union Berlin two points above them.
The good news for the hosts is that they’ve been in robust goal-scoring form, scoring eight and conceding 11 over their last five at home, winning one, drawing one, and losing two. Hoffenheim could still make the European places, although hosting RB Leipzig and Bayern Munich might put an end to those dreams. Over their last five away league fixtures they’ve won one, drawn one, and lost three, scoring eight and conceding 13.
Goals are on the menu then, we’re backing Over 2.5 Goals.
Serie A match at the Stadio Benito Stirpe, Frosinone
TV: TNT Sports, Friday, 7:45pm
You can’t really argue this is a relegation six-pointer as Salernitana would need to win all of their remaining games to stay up. Frosinone though are third from bottom and can still save themselves from the doldrums of Serie B. The hosts have drawn all four of their most recent Serie A matches but on home soil have drawn two and lost three, scoring five and conceding 10.
The away side have drawn one and lost four over their last five, sharing the same results on the road while scoring four and conceding an eye-watering 16. With both teams conceding so many, Both Teams to Score should be landing.
Championship match at Loftus Road, London
TV: Sky Sports Football/Main Event, Friday, 8pm
Leeds to Win & Both Teams to Score
Leeds are four points behind Leicester at the summit of the Championship table with just one more game to come after this one. The Foxes, of course, hammered Southampton 5-0 on Tuesday night, and are just now just three points away from wrapping up the league title, so Leeds know they simply have to win here.
QPR are just four points above the relegation zone so obviously need to avoid another loss here. They’ve won two, drawn one, and lost two over their last five in the Championship, while at Loftus Road have won two, drawn one, and lost two, scoring five and conceding seven.
Leeds have won two, drawn one, and lost two of late while on their league excursions have won two, drawn one, and lost one, scoring 10 and conceding eight. Leeds should outscore the hosts here but QPR can certainly cause some harm against Leed’s leaky defence. With that in mind, Leeds to Win & Both Teams to Score has some very tasty odds.
Ligue Un match at the Stade de la Mosson-Mondial 98, Montpellier
TV: TNT Sports, Friday, 8pm
We’ve seen plenty of goals lately involving Montpellier at home, four of their last five on home soil have seen at least three goals with them scoring 10 and conceding 10. Nantes have been in great form on their recent travels, winning four, and losing just one, scoring six and conceding four. Over 2.5 Goals have the value here.
La Liga match at the Reale Arena, San Sebastian
TV: ITV 4, Premier Sports, 8pm
Real Sociedad come into their game against Real Madrid having gone undefeated over their last five La Liga fixtures. On home soil, things aren’t as rosy though, as they’ve won just one of their last five played in San Sebastian, drawing two and losing two.
Real could be crowned La Liga champions on May 4th, when they face Cadiz at home. However, they need Barcelona to drop points this weekend for that to happen. They obviously need to win here too. Which they should certainly do.
Los Blancos have gone unbeaten over their last 17 matches and have won all five of their most recent La Liga fixtures. We’re backing them to take the three points.
