Inspired by their club president, Gary Shaunessey, who is battling Parkinson’s himself, the club aims to shine a light on this important cause while celebrating the team and upcoming season.
The event, scheduled for June 8 at Test Valley Golf Club in Overton, will be followed by drinks and a presentation evening at Longmeadow Sports and Social Club.

The club said it will be a fantastic opportunity to learn more about Parkinson’s UK, Gary’s inspiring challenges documented on his website garyschallenges.com, and the future of the football club.
Gary, a pillar of the Whitchurch United community, has been battling Parkinson’s but hasn’t let it slow him down.
Awarded a CBE for his incredible charity work, Gary will be running a full marathon before participating in the golf day itself.
The club are also seeking help from the community to make the event a success. Anyone interested in getting involved with the golf day or the football club in general is encouraged to contact the club directly.
