Flight Centre has promoted Joe Beevis to become its new general manager in the UK.
Beevis, who takes over the position from Lucy Clifton, will be responsible for expanding Flight Centre’s dedicated business travel division, growing its “bricks and mortar” presence around the UK, and increasing luxury, round-the-world and groups sales.
During his 15-year career at Flight Centre, Beevis has held a range of roles including a spell as UK and Ireland general manager of Flight Centre Business Travel.
“What an honour to be selected to take over and build on all of Lucy’s and her team’s hard work over the last few years,” said Beevis.
“As we further Lucy’s vision for the resurgence of the high street travel agency and growth of our business travel and specialist teams, I’m excited to take the lead on expanding the business.”
Clifton has moved to a senior role within Flight Centre’s global learning and development team.
