The Estée Lauder Companies announced on Friday that Peter Jueptner, group president, international, will step down from his role on April 1, and leave the company, effective June 30.
Jueptner’s departure marks the conclusion of a 16-year career with the global beauty company.
“Over the course of his impressive career with us, Peter has been one of the key architects of The Estée Lauder Companies, helping to expand our brand portfolio, grow our global footprint, and enhance the ways we work together across teams and geographies to serve our global consumers,” said William Lauder, chair of the board of directors. “His combination of strategic expertise and commercial acumen has left an indelible imprint on the enterprise.”
Jueptner joined ELC in 2009 as senior vice president, strategy, new business development, and transformation initiatives. In 2016, he was promoted to president of the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region, relocating to Paris to oversee one of the company’s most dynamic and complex regions. By 2022, Jueptner was named group president, international, where he expanded his transformative commercial strategies to a global scale.
Among his many accomplishments, he is credited for his dedication to fostering talent and promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion.
“Peter has made many essential contributions to shaping and growing our business worldwide during his sixteen years with The Estée Lauder Companies,” added Stéphane de La Faverie, president and CEO.
“I want to personally wish him the best on his next chapter. His legacy of growth, innovation, and strategic leadership, as well as his passion for nurturing and developing talent, will continue to inspire us for years to come.”
