CRICKET legend David ‘Bumble’ Lloyd’s son has become the first British winner of a drug free bodybuilding event.
Ben Lloyd was crowned champion of Natural Olympia in Las Vegas.
He trained for 35 weeks and beat 26 other bodybuilders to top spot, picking up £10,000 in the process.
The event bans competitors from taking steroids or other performance-enhancing drugs, with four-year bans a potential punishment for those who break the rules.
Lloyd, 40, chose natural bodybuilding for health reasons and he shared his delight after his win.
He said: “I am over the moon. It was a very good experience, there has been a lot of travelling as I have been to Austria, Germany, Denmark and in two weeks I will be going back for another show.
“It has been a good year so far. I am the only person from the UK who has won the Natural Olympia, and this is the biggest of all the shows.”
He continued: “It is for health reasons. It is a bit risky going down the other route and I have always preferred the straight way.
“Go and watch a show. That lets you realise what is achievable.
“People don’t realise there is a drug-free one, and you think it is achievable and think they are not just massive monsters.”

His son has taken a different turn and created history by becoming the first Britisih winner on Natural Olympia.
Lloyd wrote on social media after the event: “Your new PNBA Pro Natural Olympia Overall Champion!
“This is by far the greatest achievement of my bodybuilding career so far and I’m completely lost for words. To win one of the best natural bodybuilding shows in the world against over 20 elite level pros is beyond my wildest expectations.
“Thanks to the @inbapnbaglobal_official for putting on an incredible show. Thanks to everyone that has supported me. Thanks to my coach @ajmorris_ . And thanks to @_brogan_wallace for her love and support this year.
