Travel between the UK and a top European travel destination is about to get a whole lot easier as easyJet has announced a new service between Southampton Airport and Paris Orly,
The new flights, which will launch on March 31 2025, will operate on Mondays and Fridays, with fares starting from just £32.99.
EasyJet Holidays is even offering package deals incorporating the new route.
The budget airline’s latest addition marks its eighth route from the south coast airport.
EasyJet plans to operate up to 21 departures per week from Southampton during next summer’s peak season.
The Paris Orly service adds to Southampton’s growing connectivity, following TUI’s recent announcement of its return to the airport after 15 years with flights to Majorca.
The boost will equate to a 31% increase on journeys from the south coast airport.
The airline has had strong growth at Southampton, having transported more than 173,000 passengers to and from the airport since expanding beyond its seasonal Geneva service twelve months ago.
AGS Airports Aviation Director Chris Tibbett said: “Paris is a vital and well-loved destination for the central south region, and we are thrilled to see easyJet launch this direct service from Southampton to Paris Orly.
“With its easy access to the city and nearby attractions like Euro Disney, this will undoubtedly be a popular route.
“This latest addition underlines the strength of easyJet’s operations in Southampton and provides even more opportunities for local travellers.”
This announcement marks the latest in a series of new routes for the airline, which has also revealed new services between the UK and Palermo, Italy, Almeria in Spain, Milan, Gibraltar and France’s Bordeaux.
EasyJet has also revealed that it will launch England’s longest flight between Gatwick Airport and Sal in Cape Verde. This six-hour flight, with a distance of 2,332 nautical miles, surpasses the airline’s current longest service in England from Manchester to Hurghada in Egypt, which covers 2,240 nautical miles.
The flights from Gatwick to Sal will be scheduled three times a week and will operate on A320neo aircraft. It will also be EasyJet’s first venture into sub-Saharan Africa.
