EasyJet has confirmed that it has grounded more than 20 return flights between the UK and Portugal over the next three days due to a strike by Portuguese cabin crew.
The crew are striking from today until 17 August.
The airline told Travel Gossip last week that it had pre-emptively cancelled 21 flights between the UK and Portugal ahead of the industrial action.
National newspapers are reporting that figure has risen to 27.
An easyJet spokesperson said affected customers had already been informed and offered alternative flights or refunds.
“We also advise customers travelling to and from Portugal on 15, 16 and 17 August to check the status of their flights on the easyJet Flight Tracker,” they added.
