Police At The Scene On Washwood Heath Road
Two drivers were taken to hospital following a collision near the Fox and Goose Shopping Centre. The vehicles crashed into each other on Washwood Heath Road, Ward End, just before 5.40pm on Sunday (Feb 9).
Police and paramedics attended and sealed the section of the roadway off. Medics treated both the drivers of the cars at the scene before they were taken to Heartlands Hospital.
Their injuries were not said to be serious. A passenger from one of the cars sustained light injuries and conveyed to the same hospital.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “We were called to reports of an RTC involving two vehicles on Washwood Heath Road, Ward End, Birmingham at 5.33pm yesterday (Sunday 9th February). Two ambulances and a paramedic officer attended.
“The drivers of both cars, two men, were assessed and found with injuries not believed to be life threatening. They were treated before being conveyed to Heartlands Hospital.
“A passenger, a woman, sustained non serious injuries and was also conveyed to the same hospital for checks.” The road was later reopened.
