Dior’s much-anticipated menswear collab with Stone Island has begun to debut in key global luxury locations with one of them being Selfridges in London.
The extensive capsule has arrived there as a UK exclusive this week ahead of its debut in Dior’s own UK stores on 4 July.
It further underlines the West End’s premier department store as one of the key destinations for luxury launches with Selfridges constantly clinching major unveilings.
The surprise collab between the two brands was originally flagged last month to great fanfare with Dior’s Kim Jones talking of “a kind of clothing alchemy” for the capsule that blends two labels one wouldn’t normally expect to link up given Dior’s couture heritage and Stone Island’s much more casual/technical roots.
The luxury-priced collection also takes Stone Island into a higher price bracket than usual.
The debut comes as Selfridges dives deep into another of the season’s key collabs with Loewe taking over the all-important Corner Shop space in the Oxford street branch for its On collab.
The experiential space features an edit of technical activewear for outdoors and indoors, including weatherproof outerwear and the new Cloudtilt 2.0 trainers.
